Rachel Lopez-Bagan is a Los Angeles/Ventura-based graphic designer and branding consultant who believes in building better brands through thoughtful, intentional design. A Las Vegas native, Rachel moved to L.A. in 2009 in pursuit of a design career and a (debatably) milder climate. She holds a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and spent her post-grad years working as a designer at Omgivning, an architectural firm specializing in adaptive reuse projects in DTLA. Professionally, Rachel is committed to a holistic branding approach and clean, playful designs. Personally, Rachel is committed to her two rescue dogs, Luna and Shadow, and to frequent, excessive pizza consumption.

Alex Lopez-Bagan acts as Play Grnd’s resident 3-D designer and builder, overseeing all spatial design/construction projects and lending his UX/UI expertise to Play Grnd's web development ventures. Originally from Ojai, California, Alex received his bachelor’s degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, earned his master’s in architecture from UCLA, and has been working in L.A./Ventura as a designer ever since. Alex is the proud son of a Thai chef/educator and a Mexican general contractor (who gave him his first construction management job while he was still in high school), he credits his parents with teaching him how to appreciate the space where creativity and logistics overlap.

Once we've completed the discovery phase and selected the best design packages to move forward with we focus on strategy. We research the best creative direction for your brand and figure out the best strategy that will set your brand apart from your competitors.
DISCOVER
We kick of all of our jobs with a free consultation virtually, or once it's safe again, in person. This is known as the discovery phase where we get to know our clients and recommend the best packages for their needs. We take a client centric approach, it's your chance to get a feel for Play Grnd and ensure we are a good fit.
DESIGN
We work in a design and feedback round to ensure your needs are integrated every step of the way. The design phase is extremely hands on with virtual work sessions. We work together in each design iteration to generate digital assets/visual equity that you're happy with and successfully represent your brand.
